Mediterranean University

Founded in 2006, Mediterranean University Podgorica, located in Podgorica, Montenegro, is a prestigious private university and the first of its kind in Montenegro. With a decade of experience in higher education, they offer a wide range of study programs, including undergraduate, specialist, master’s, and doctoral studies.

  • Radislav Jovović

    Radislav Jovović is a highly accomplished professional with expertise in financial analysis, economics, and management. He has a strong academic background and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Economics and Management, and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Montenegro. Additionally, he has specialized in various areas including financial analysis and management, process innovation and enterprise restructuring, designing business information systems, and IT management.

    In terms of work experience, Jovović has held teaching positions at the Montenegro Business School, Mediterranean University. He started as an Assistant Professor in 2007 and progressed to become an Associate Professor in 2011 and finally a Full Professor in 2016. His teaching expertise includes subjects such as financial analysis, analysis of financial statements, econometrics, electronic commerce, electronic banking, theory of economics, international business, financial theory, corporate policy, and international economics.

    Jovović is also a published author, having contributed to several monographs and books on topics related to knowledge economy, sustainable development, regional development, quality of services in electronic banking, and energy consumption trends. He has served as an editor for the international magazine Economics & Economy and as an assistant editor for the Montenegrin Journal of Economics.

    Throughout his career, Jovović has been involved in numerous projects, including feasibility studies, business valuation projects, electronic business projects, and marketing strategies. He has also participated in projects supported by organizations such as UNDP, focusing on training and development in spatial planning and employment in municipalities in Montenegro.

    With his extensive knowledge, academic achievements, teaching experience, and contributions to research, Radislav Jovović has established himself as a respected expert in the field of finance, economics, and management.

  • Petar Krivokapić

    Petar Krivokapić is a Montenegrin professional with a strong background in international cooperation and project management. Currently serving as the Advisor for International Cooperation at the Mediterranean University Podgorica, Petar is responsible for overseeing various aspects of mobility programs, including implementation, financial reporting, and quality control. With over three years of active project experience, particularly in the management of Erasmus+ projects, Petar brings a wealth of expertise to his role.

    Passionate about personal and professional development, Petar is driven to seek new experiences and challenges, especially within multicultural environments. Alongside his advisory role, he also serves as a University Teaching Assistant, specializing in the subject of Marketing for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. Petar actively contributes to the University’s internationalization efforts, having participated in multiple projects aimed at fostering global collaboration and serving as a member of the Office for Internationalization Support.

    With a keen eye for detail and organizational proficiency, Petar efficiently handles all aspects of student and staff mobilities, from publishing calls for applications to coordinating selection committees and facilitating visa processes. Additionally, he excels in the hosting process for incoming mobilities, ensuring a smooth transition and providing support throughout their stay. Petar’s language skills, including fluency in English and proficiency in Italian, further enhance his ability to engage with international partners and stakeholders.

    Prior to his current positions, Petar gained valuable experience as an intern at the Mediterranean University, where he worked in the Student Services Department and contributed to the university’s website through translation work. He has also worked as a translator for JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and served as a hotel concierge at Bar Harbor Regency Holiday Inn in the United States.

    Petar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business English from the Mediterranean University, specializing in modern English language, translation techniques, and business English. He further pursued his specialization through a Specialist degree in Business English and Translation. Currently, Petar is pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting, further expanding his expertise in the field.

    With his strong professional background, dedication to international cooperation, and passion for continuous growth, Petar Krivokapić is an asset to any organization seeking to foster global connections and achieve excellence in project management and international mobility programs.

  • Mirjana Cizmovic

    Mirjana Cizmovic, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Mediterranean University in Montenegro, for the subjects of International Economy, Business Statistics, and Applied Quantitative Methods. Besides teaching, she worked as an economic consultant for government projects financed by World Bank, and as a financial analyst and econometrician for projects funded by different international organizations (EBRD, UNDP, ILO, Bloomberg Philanthropies / University of Illinois at Chicago). She is engaged in ERASMUS project -Strengthening International Staff & Student Mobility Offices in the West Balkans (ROAMING) as a member of the Project Quality Monitoring Committee. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the ISEM – The Higher Institute of Economics and Management in Nice, France, a postdoctoral researcher at Universitá Politecnica delle Marche, Italy, and a Fulbright postdoctoral researcher at the City College of New York. Primary areas of her research interest are applied research in the field of the international economy, economic growth in transition economies, and the economic effects of excise taxation on micro and macro levels.
