“Logos” University College

“Logos” University College, is the leader of the First Work Package of ROAMING project. The International Office of the institution is a team of professionals with extensive experience in international projects, which makes them ideal leaders for a project such as ROAMING.

  • Konstantinos Giakoumis

    Konstantinos Giakoumis is Associate Professor of History, Visual Arts and Methods at LOGOS University College, Tirana, Albania. He is a doctoral degree holder in Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies, University of Birmingham and has over twenty years of teaching, research and administrative experience in Higher Education in Albania, Greece, England and the U.S.A. Giakoumis maintains an active research agenda in the cultural history of the Balkans from the late medieval to early modern times. As a former Erasmus student (The University of Leeds, 1994), he has an undiminished enthusiasm in HE internationalization. Dr. Giakoumis is ROAMING Project’s Coordinator.

  • Konstantinos Dvolis

    Konstantinos Dovoli is the Head of the International Relations Office (I.R.O.) at LOGOS University College in Tirana, Albania. He holds a doctoral degree in Educational Planning and Management from the University of Omdurman in Sudan, an MSc in Didactic Methodology and Psychology in Education from L´Aquila Italy, and a BA in Primary Education from the University of Aristotle, Thessaloniki, in Greece. With over ten years of teaching, research, and administrative experience in Higher Education in Albania, Greece, and Asia, he has established himself as a seasoned professional in the field. Dr. Dovoli has served as a visiting lecturer in various universities in Asia, including China, Vietnam, and Cambodia. He is also an accomplished author, having written books on the Greek language. His passion for promoting Greek language education is evident in his active involvement in the establishment and development of schools and institutions primarily in Africa. Currently, Dr. K. Dovolis is actively engaged in the ROAMING Project as the Chair of the International Relations Office (I.R.O.).

  • Valbona Nathanaili

    Valbona Nathanaili is a lecturer at the department of pedagogy-psychology at LOGOS University College, Tirana, Albania. She is a Bachelor in physics and a doctoral degree holders in the science of pedagogy, both from University of Tirana. At the undergraduate level, at LOGOS, she has taught the methodology of teaching science, didactic of mathematic and natural sciences, and civic education. Major areas of research over the last few years are the politics and reforms in Albanian Education System, education under occupation, methodology of teaching science, university pedagogy, science and religion, the future of schooling and internationalization of HEIs. Recently she is engaged, as member of “Quality Monitoring Action Plan Comitee” in the “Managerial and GoverNance Enhancement through Teaching” (MAGNET) project (2023-2025), co-founded by the European Union and project manager in ROAMING project “Strengthening International Staff & Student Mobility Offices in the West Balkans”— ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE, funded by the European Union, where Logos University College is the leader. She was previously based at the European University of Tirana, where contributed to a range of different duties and chaired publishing department. She is analyst, writers and contributor for different periodic Albanian newspaper and television outlets. Some sole authored books: “The difficult journey of Albanian school (1912-1944)” (2016) and “Our ambassadors. The meeting point of diplomacy with creativity” (2014).

  • Anisa Balla

    Anisa Balla is graduated in 2011 in Bachelor in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of University of Tirana. Since 2013 she holds the title Master of Science (MSc.) in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, Tirana, Albania. After completing her studies, she has successfully participated in an internship program at the Ministry of Finance, near the Department of Macroeconomics. In 2013, she was employed in a Procredit Bank as a Client Advisor. In 2015, she participated in a six-weeks English training course in Procredit Academy in Frankfurt, Germany. Throughout her work experience, she has been evaluated from her supervisors for very good communication, organizational and analytical skills. Starting from 2017, Anisa became an Assistant Lecturer at the Management Department, Faculty of Economics at “Logos” University College, Tirana, Albania. During 2018-2019, she started her engagement as a part-time Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Economic Sciences at University of “Aleksander Moisiu” Durres, Durres, Albania. From the beginning of 2022, she started the Phd. studies at the Department of Economic Sciences, Faculty of Business, University of “Aleksander Moisiu” Durres, Durres, Albania. Her PhD studies is based in a National Albanian Project, approved from the Department of Economic Sciences at University of “Aleksander Moisiu” Durres, and Ministry of Education and Sports in Albania. Throughout her work experience, Anisa has participated in several workshops, national and international trainings on modern teaching methods, as well as has contributed in many scientific activities with participation in referrals and publication of several scientific articles in several international conferences. Recently she is engaged, as member of Quality Assurance Committee, in ROAMING project “Strengthening International Staff & Student Mobility Offices in the West Balkans”— ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE, funded by the European Union, where Logos University College is the leader.

  • Blerta Avdia

    Dr. Blerta Avdia is a Lecturer in the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and a member of the Commission of Quality Standards Assurance. She graduated with a “Bachelor” and “Master of Science” degree in Geography at the University of Tirana (2008, 2010). She also graduated with a Professional Master’s degree in Teaching for Higher Secondary Education in Geography (2017) and a doctoral degree with a thesis on “Assessment and Management of Natural and Human Resources of Lume-Gora (Kosovo) on their Sustainable Development” at the University of Tirana. Dr. Avdia has been engaged in Higher Education for seven years in Bachelor and Master study programs at Logos University College and the University of Elbasan. She is a lecturer in “Geography of Tourism”, “Cultural Tourism”, “Development of Tourism Guide” “Knowledge and Methods of Geography”. She has long experience as a coach in teaching: Dr. Avdia has trained the Albanian diaspora teachers, in the frame of a project jointly coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Sports, Albania and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Kosovo. She is engaged as a tourism expert for the project: “Sustainable future for Sharr/Korab-Kortinik” funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt DBU)) and in various projects funded by the European Union. Currently Dr. Avdia is Team Member in the project ROAMING — ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE, funded by the European Union, where Logos University College is leader. Dr. Avdia is a member of the Board of the Local Activity Group Korab-Koretnik Natural Park. She is the co-author of the book Geography 12 for Grade 12 high school students.

  • MSc. Anisa Duka

    MSc. Anisa Duka is currently the Head of Student Affairs and Career Counseling Office
    at LOGOS University College. She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences,
    University of Tirana. During 2010-2012, she completed the Master of Sciences program
    in Teaching for Social Sciences, and in 2019, she obtained a Master of Science in
    Business Administration (MBA).
    Throughout her career, MSc. Anisa Duka has worked in various educational institutions.
    She served as a lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tirana.
    MSc. Anisa Duka has gained professional experience in management, communication,
    and student affairs. She has held positions as a specialist, head of office, and director in
    several higher education institutions, where she planned and organized activities in
    these fields.
    Furthermore, MSc. Anisa Duka has actively pursued professional and research
    development. She has participated in numerous seminars, conferences, and scientific
    trainings focused on addressing social issues within society.

  • Elona Zirek

    Elona Zirek is an assistant lecturer at University College LOGOS and teaches English for Special
    Purposes and Academic Writing. She completed her graduate studies in English and American
    Studies, Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg, Germany and has a rich background in English
    language teaching, translation and interpreting in Albania and Turkey, as well as administrative
    experience in higher education institutions and international companies.
    She is a fluent speaker of several languages and as a former Erasmus student (University
    Ca'Foscary of Venice, 2010). Zirek is keen on offering her contribution to the
    internationalization of HEIs.  MSc. Elona Zirek is a Team Member in ROAMING Project.

  • Venian (Naum) Mile

    He was born in Korça, Albania. He completed his studies at the Faculty of Law,
    University of Tirana from 1995 – 1999 and in 2002 he has completed his Second Level
    Master of the study program in Business Administration, and holds a diploma issued
    from the University of Bordeaux, France. He holds the title of Advocate from the
    National Chamber of Advocates. He has also worked for four years as a radio reporter
    and speaker at "Resurrection" Radio.

    He has worked in the banking sector for sixteen years, first as a specialist and then in
    leading positions at the Department of Legal Affairs of Tirana Bank, sh.a.

    He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of "Evangelisation" Foundation since
    2013 and he is a member of the Clergy-Laity Church Council.

    Mr. Mile currently holds the position of Administrator of "LOGOS" University College.
